Breakfast was had at restaurant on our street which specialised in broken rice.
Across the road from the Hindu temple we visited was a few of these beauty salons.
Enroute to another Parkson department store in Thanh Binh we see these:
Dinner time, we give another French restaurant a go.
Fail again.
We returned to the Palazzo club in the Sheraton hotel.
We were expecting to walk into a scene from a James Bond movie with characters from all over the world gambling high stakes with seductive beautiful women hanging off their arms wearing stilettos, stroking their fur pieces and sipping on martinis.
What we saw couldn’t be further from the truth.
The setting was cheesy (like a crappy casino should be i guess).
Think of the Streetfighter movie type of cheesy.
The patrons were straight from Campsie RSL. Chinese and Koreans everywhere !
I blew my 3,000,000d / A$136.00 within a few spins of the roulette wheel.
With my tail in between my legs we try our luck at the Caravelle hotel’s Vegas Club.
Another 2,000,000d / US$97.00 is exchanged for another go on the rollercoaster.
Cat manages to keep her US$20 going as i blow my portion yet again.
The Vegas Club offers patrons free beverages, snacks, lollies and cigarettes.
This saw the petty Asian in Cat waving a free cigarette in her mouth, exhaling in a way that only she can.
I said to Cat “come on, go hard or go home!!” and with that she upped the ante betting local monthly salaries with every bet.
Soon after we went home … winners !
We rode through the ups and downs of the roulette rollercoaster… at one stage down to our last $8.
She turned $8 into $15, $15 into $45 and then $45 in $500.
Her theory was that together (her touching the screen and only my directive input) was our recipe to success.
She was adamant that my hands would defer from the recipe.
The cashier chicks looked at us crazily when we asked for the US$500 to be converted into 10,280,000d
